Find us on Bay Rd, by Oatley Park, and opposite the Lime Kiln Bay wetland area.

We could give you an address (but where's the fun in that?) Take a stroll through the park.

Reuse, Recycle, Reimagine

Made from reclaimed timber and hardware, along with salvaged bits from Reverse Garbage, the Pocket Gallery is a labour of love by artist Jenni Tyler.

Our opening show features the collective efforts of over 150 people from the Oatley West P.S. community.

Yes

What is a casual creative?

Anyone who builds, collects, imagines, tinkers or looks at the world a little differently is invited to share their art in the Pocket Gallery.

Casual creatives:

make imperfect things
notice interesting details
share stories
engineer solutions
dress up
crack jokes
grow gardens
take photos of the sky
make food look fancy
stitch things together
dabble
build new worlds
save scraps because "they might be useful someday"
keep a notebook of half-finished ideas
put googly eyes on stuff
hunt for inspiration in ordinary things

How many artworks fit in the gallery?

More than you'd think but fewer than we'd like.

Exhibitions are curated with photographs and scans of original artworks that are scaled to fit in our microgallery. Whether you've made a mural or a matchbox sculpture, what we need is a good quality image of it.

Can I touch the art?

With your eyes, mostly.
